How much can you realistically earn on your next trip

We looked at delivery fees across popular routes to give you a realistic picture of what travelers earn.

The idea of earning money on a trip you are already taking is appealing. But how much can you actually earn? We looked at real delivery fees posted on Sendways across our most active corridors.

London to Lagos. Travelers on this route typically earn between GBP 15 and GBP 40 per kilogram delivered. A traveler carrying 5 kg of packages earns GBP 75 to GBP 200 per trip, enough to cover airport parking, meals, or a significant portion of luggage fees.

Paris to Dakar. EUR 12 to EUR 30 per kilogram is the typical range, depending on the sender's urgency and the item category. Fashion items and electronics command the highest fees.

Amsterdam to Accra. EUR 15 to EUR 35 per kilogram. Highly competitive route with strong traveler and sender activity.

Dubai to Nairobi. USD 10 to USD 25 per kilogram. Electronics and branded goods dominate this corridor.

How to maximise earnings. Accept multiple deliveries going to the same destination area. A 23 kg checked bag allowance can accommodate 6 to 8 kg of sender packages if your personal luggage is light. Frequent travelers who build strong ratings earn at the higher end of fee ranges.

What reduces earnings. Extra weight charges from your airline eat directly into profit. Know your baggage allowance before accepting packages. Business class and premium economy tickets typically include 30 to 40 kg checked allowance, which is valuable for high-volume travelers.

The realistic picture. A traveler carrying 5 kg of deliveries on a monthly international flight can earn USD 600 to USD 1,500 per year on the same journeys they were already making. Not a primary income, but a meaningful supplementary one.
