Sendways platform roadmap: what we are building in 2025

Identity verification upgrades, more payment methods, new corridors, and more. Here is what is coming.

Sendways is early. We are proud of what we have built and honest about how much further there is to go. Here is what we are working on for 2025.

Identity verification upgrades. Our current verification process is effective but adds friction to onboarding. We are investing in a faster, mobile-first verification flow that reduces time-to-verified from days to minutes.

Expanded payment methods. Mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Wave) for senders and travelers in East and West Africa. Bank transfer support for additional European countries. Improved payout speeds for African markets.

New corridors. We are actively growing traveler supply on routes including Stockholm-Addis Ababa, Helsinki-Kampala, Toronto-Lagos, and Montreal-Dakar. If you travel on one of these routes regularly, create a traveler profile; you will be among the first with senders on that corridor.

Trip scheduling improvements. Better tools for travelers to post recurring trips (e.g., monthly Lagos-London), set advance booking windows, and manage capacity across multiple upcoming trips.

Multi-hop delivery. A framework for deliveries that require two travelers: one from origin city to a hub, another from hub to destination. This will unlock routes where no single traveler makes the end-to-end journey regularly.

What we are not building (yet). Warehousing, courier services, or any physical logistics infrastructure. Sendways will remain a marketplace platform. The logistics are provided by travelers. We build the trust layer.
